Bill,

Just wanted to pass along some feedback on your ToughGuard product. I am very impressed with the long lasting performance under the conditions endured by my aircraft.

I am active duty Air Force, recently stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert. My Bellanca Viking was parked on the Aero Club ramp in the harsh climate for more than two years. I applied ToughGuard in March, 2000 with a second coat follow-up a few months later to ensure long lasting protection. The protective coating has lasted more than 3 years and the paint still looks new. That is quite impressive given the Mojave dishes out the worst Mother Nature can offer (intense UV rays, and high winds with blowing sand).

I receive so many compliments on my great looking paint job. When I tell them it is (or was) parked in the sun out on the ramp at Edwards, they are amazed. I have recently moved to Albuquerque and the Bellanca is now hangared. Although many surfaces do not require a recoat, I am going to reapply another coat of ToughGuard to aid in bug removal on the leading edges and under belly cleanup. I am sure this application will last for many more years being hangared.

In addition to the great look, my workload is decreased as I never have to wax the aircraft and rarely use soap to wash it. Just hose if off and dry.

Thanks for the great product,

Dear Bill:

I would like to take a moment to pass along my complete satisfaction with Toughguard.  Several years ago, I had one of my Beechcraft King Airs painted at Alabama Aircraft Painting, Inc. and I asked what they could do to protect the new paint, since my aircraft normally stay outside all year.  They recommended Toughguard and it has proven to be outstanding.

Since then, I have used Toughguard on two other aircraft with outstanding results.   My detailing personnel are extremely pleased with the ease the King Air exhaust residue is cleaned from the engine nacelles.

I would highly recommend Toughguard to anyone desiring a smooth and outstanding finish on their aircraft.

Sincerely,

Dear Bill:

Thank you for your quick response to our request for your Toughguard product in larger bottles.   The larger bottles will be more convenient for us to work with on the aircraft we apply it to.

Having used your product for almost seven years now, I can truly say Toughguard has become an integral part of our operation here.   We believe in your product so much that we now offer our customers double our normal warranty on their paint jobs when they elect to get the Toughguard paint protection.

Keep up the good work!

Dear Bill:

You will recall that I called you about three weeks ago to find out more about your Toughguard product and after our conversation you said to write regarding my response to your product.   I put off writing because I wanted to give it a little more time to prove the durability of Toughguard by continuing to try to rub it off.   I just followed my regular routine of cleaning the bugs off with carbon X and the underbelly with Windex.   Well I can tell you that the more I rub the more the airplane shines.   Most of the bugs wipe off with a dry rag even without any liquid spray.   Things just won't stick to this stuff.

No it hasn't added 10 knots to the true air speed but it's a good thing because then I would need to spend more money for bigger speed brakes to slow my slippery Mooney 201 down.

There are two questions I am getting tired or hearing:

1.  Pete, when your airplane looked so good before - why did you have it painted?

and

2.  When I tell them the story of how we applied Toughguard to the Cheyenne I and the exhaust build up wipes off with Windex; that other question comes "Where can I get some?"

I am a commercial rated, Inst. pilot and will be happy to endorse your Toughguard product.   If I can ever scrub it off I will call you collect.

Mr. Bill Hammond

Dear Bill,

Thank you for the beautiful polish job on our airplane.   Although twenty years old, it now looks brand new.   In fact, some friends ask when they see it when we got the new airplane.

Best Regards
